Journaling Workshop Series

Come join us for some or all of a series of Spring evenings to deepen (or start!) your practice of journaling for personal and spiritual reflection.

The written word can be a beautiful invitation for self-reflection, awareness, and insight. Combined with the kinship and safety of a group dynamic - infinite possibilities abound.

You will learn new journaling techniques and exercises and have opportunities to practice.

Please bring a journal and something to write with.

$20 per session or sign up for the 6 week series and receive an early bird discount

$100 for the series

Meet Courtney Bournes

Courtney Bourns is a resident of Bayspring in Barrington and a lifelong journal keeper. In her professional life, Courtney is a facilitator and strategic planning consultant for foundations and other mission-driven organizations and has decades of experience working with groups to make important decisions around their values and the impact they want to have in the world. She has always wanted to guide a journaling group in the model she learned years ago while a graduate student in theology.

“I have found journaling to be a deep and supportive practice for inner listening and reflection over the last 30 years. In one of my favorite books, the Bone People, a character refers to her journal as the Book of the Soul, which I have always thought was a very apt description. Done well, journaling can help us stay centered and know ourselves better.”
